圣赫勒拿岛，位于南大西洋，为一火山岛。面积122平方公里。人口7,091人(1998年估计)。绝大多数是圣赫勒拿人，为欧洲移民与部分印度人和非洲黑人的混合人种。通用英语。居民大部分信奉基督教。1633年荷兰人侵占该岛。1659年，英国东印度公司取代荷兰，在此行使管辖权。拿破仑在这里度过了生命的最后六年。首府詹姆斯敦，人口1,500人(1992年)。
