习语：a bachelor girl
讲解：Bachelor通常是指“未婚男子”，即“单身汉”，但是与girl连用时就是指“未婚女人”了，此语特指“不依靠别人，自己维持生活的女人”。目前，在英美国家，指“未婚职业妇女”，与汉语口语中的“女强人”有相似之处。

devote to 把 ... 献于, 把 ... 用于
Eg. The time he can spare from the adornment 2 of his person he devote to the neglect of his duty.
他把花在打扮上的时间省下来，却用到了玩忽职守上去。
Quite the other way round. 完全相反。
这是个省略句。完整的句子为——It is the other way round. 这正好想法。加上quite，就是完全相反。
