46 Body Language 1

If you can speak English, you know a lot of English words. You can read, speakand understand. But there is another kind of language you need to know — thelanguage of the body.

All over the world, people "talk?with their hands, with their heads, and withtheir eyes. When Japanese 2 people meet, they bow 3. When Indians 4 meet, they puttheir hands together.

When British 5 and American people meet someone 6 for the first time, they shakehands. They do not usually shake 7 hands with people they know well. Womensometimes kiss 8 their women friends, and men kiss women friends (on the cheekonly). When a man meets a man friend, he just smiles, and says "Hello? Men donot kiss each other, or hold hands. Even 9 fathers and sons do not often kisseach other.
