Little baby, lay your head,on your pretty cradle-bed; 小宝贝，把头放着美丽的摇篮里，

Shut your eyes, for now the day，and the light are gone away; 闭上眼睛，一天就要过去，
All the clothes are tucked 1 in tight 所有的衣服被塞的很紧，
Little baby dear,good-night. 亲爱的宝贝，晚安。
Yes, my darling,well I know,how the bitter wind doth blow; 是的，亲爱的,我知道寒风吹的很冷，
And the winter's snow and rain,patter on the window pane 2: 冬天的雪和雨拍打着窗户。
But they cannot come in here, 但是它们不会来到这，
To my little baby dear. 不会到我亲爱的宝贝这。
For the window is shut fast,till the stormy night is past; 窗户一直关着直到暴风雪过去，
And the curtains warm are spread,round about your cradle-bed: 你摇篮床一周都是暖暖的窗帘罩着，
So, till morning shineth bright, 直到早上阳光照耀，

The day is fled,—the night is here; 白天走了，夜晚就来了，
Thus flies a week,—a month,—a year! 然后周飞走了，一月没了，接着，一年没了。
