In preparation for the counselling that will be given to victims’ families from the Kunshan explosion, more than 200 volunteers have received professional training from mental health experts. Yang Wenhong, who is the secretary general of the Kunshan Psychological Counselling Volunteer Association said family members will be well taken care of.
"Our job includes 2 parts. The first part is accompanying victim families. As their beloved ones are in the ICU at the moment, they are not allowed to visit the injured. We can keep them company, take care of their lives, and help them solve some problems. In the second part, we will provide professional support to the people who have evident traumatic problems. We will have psychological counsellors, doctors and physicians in our team," Psychological counselor 1 Yang Wenhong said.
