Several soldiers were wounded in another attack on a military checkpoint in Sheikh Zuweid city by rocket propelled grenades, a security source told Xinhua.
The attack came after four explosions targeting Egyptian police hit the country on Friday, which left six people dead and almost one hundred others wounded.
Meanwhile, at least 14 people were killed and 77 others injured on Friday during clashes nationwide between supporters of ousted 10 Islamist president Mohamed Morsi and the security forces.
