Boring vs Bored
如果要形容某个事物，某种体验（thing）令人感到无聊用boring：
The movie was boring. 电影很无聊。
The class was boring. 课程很无聊。
但如果是表达某个人（person）感到无聊就用bored：
The movie was so boring! I was bored. 电影太无聊，使我感到无聊。
The class was so boring! I was bored. 课程太无聊，使我感到无聊。
I am bored还是I am boring?
Boring也可以用来形容人（person），但意思却大不相同：
I am bored. 我感到无聊。
A boring person. 一个无趣的人。
如果有人向你抱怨自己很无聊，你可以回复他一句非常经典的台词：
Only boring people are bored. 只有无趣的人才会感到无聊。
口语里也经常不说明具体事情，而是用it指代：
It's so boring. 太无聊了。
形容无聊的短语
有一些短语能够非常生动地表达“无聊”的状态：
Bored to tears: 无聊到哭泣，欲哭无泪，形容非常无聊。
Bored to death: 无聊死了。
Bored stiff: 无聊死了，stiff是僵硬的意思。
Dying from boredom 1: 死于无聊，Boredom: n.无聊。
另一种无聊
国外曾非常流行类似Candid 2 Camera（抓拍相机）这样的恶作剧电视节目，恶作剧在英语中可以这样说：
Pranks 3: 恶作剧
Practical jokes: 恶作剧
有些人觉得非常搞笑，但有些人也会觉得非常没有意义，很无聊，这时候比boring更能够表达这种“无聊”的词是：
Silly: 愚蠢的，没头脑的
Stupid: 愚蠢的，乏味的
Dumb: [d?m] 愚蠢的
Non-sensical:无厘头的，荒谬的
Senseless: 愚蠢的，无意义的
n.厌烦，厌倦，乏味，无聊
- Unemployment can drive you mad with boredom.失业会让你无聊得发疯。
- A walkman can relieve the boredom of running.跑步时带着随身听就不那么乏味了。
adj.公正的，正直的；坦率的
- I cannot but hope the candid reader will give some allowance for it.我只有希望公正的读者多少包涵一些。
- He is quite candid with his friends.他对朋友相当坦诚。
