【分析】复合句。Sternberg notes that…；此时that引导宾语从句,从句又由but连接的两个分句构成,but后省略了 traditional test；components also …作 creativity and practical knowledge的同位语，起补充说明的作用。句首引号内的书名也是同位语,补充说明his article。
【译文】斯德伯格在他的文章《智力测试有多高明》中指出,传统测试很好地评估了分析和语言能力。但是却没有评估创造力和实践知识,而后者对解决问题和在生活中取得成功至关重要。
【点拨】note既可以作名词，也可以作动词，意义较多；在本句中，该词意为“指出，表明”。
10. Research has found that IQ predicted leadership skills when the tests were given under low-stress conditions, but under high-stress conditions, IQ was negatively correlated with leadership-that is, it predicted the opposite.
