Barney, a stray pooch, has a very unusual diet. This was discovered by some workers at a stray animal shelter in the UK, when the little puppy was brought there after he was found wandering the streets in early December.
It turns out that the 9-month-old bull terrier has a taste for women's underwear. Workers found three pairs of women's underwear after they had passed through the dog's digestive system. As the underwear was fully 1 intact, it appears Barney swallows it whole and does not enjoy chewing it. A veterinarian at the facility says that Barney is doing fine and will suffer no long-term effects.
Perhaps after a switch to a more regular diet, Barney will be able to break his strange habit. However, his new owners will be warned to keep him away from the laundry.
