China’s Ministry 1 of Human Resources and Social Security says a total of 13.1 million new jobs have been created in urban areas in 2013, which hits all-time high.
Unemployment in urban areas was at 4.1 percent in 2013. And was around 4.05 percent for the fourth quarter. The number of the unemployed 2 who found jobs in 2013 was around 5.7 million, an increase of 140 thousand compared with the previous year. In 2013, the total social insurance income reached 3.29 trillion yuan, up 13.8 percent from the year before. And social insurance expenditure 3 was 2.65 trillion yuan, up 19.6 percent on 2012.
