The bizarre moment was caught on camera by Jack 2 Saranthat, who was forced to stop his vehicle in the Bang Len district as waves of birds waddled 3 by.
He later told the Bangkok Post that the noisy flock was being herded 4 by a farmer to another patch of land to find food.
The birds appeared well-behaved, marching along in an orderly fashion. But a time-pressed Mr Saranthat wasn't impressed by their antics.
In his video he is seen shaking his head and checking his watch in frustration 5. 'I'm not sure why these ducks are in revolt.’
'You can see the great mass of ducks swarming 6 on the road. They have now occupied the area entirely,' the Bangkok Post translates him as saying.
It's not known how many birds there were in total but some reports have pegged 7 it at around 100,000.
Mr Saranthat uploaded his clip of the 'Duck revolt' to Facebook on June 14.
