Van Ginkel debutes in Dutch squad for Germany

ZEIST, The Netherlands, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- The 19-year-old Vitesse midfielder Marco van Ginkel received his first call-up for the Dutch national team for the friendly against Germany on November 14 in Amsterdam.
Van Ginkel was included in a squad 1 of 19 players. Captain Wesley Sneijder was not included, because he has only just recovered from a thigh 2 injury and has not played for Internazionale for six weeks.
Van Gaal left open four extra places in the squad. If Maarten Stekelenburg (AS Roma) and PSV trio Kevin Strootman, Luciano Narsingh and Jeremain Lens proof they are fit this weekend, they will be added to the squad.
"I think you have to earn to be selected," Van Gaal said during a press conference in Zeist. "They should play at their clubs. Everyone must be fit training with the Dutch team, we are not a rehabilitation 3 center."
The Netherlands will play Germany for the third time within one year. Last year November "Oranje" lost a friendly 3-0 in Hamburg and in June this year Germany beat the Dutch team 2-1 on Euro 2012.
