ANNOUNCER:And now,continuing our series of interviews with people in local industry,
we have an interview with Geoff Story,the Managing Director of Donaldson Packaging.
PRESENTER:Mr Story,you're the Managing Director of Donaldson Packaging.
STORY:That's right.
PRESENTER:Could you tell us something about your company?
STORY:Well,Donaldson Packaging is part of the PSSI Packaging Group.
PSSI,as you probably know,is a Swedish company.
Donaldson Packaging itself is really two companies.
Donaldson Packaging Ltd manufactures 1 board for packaging.
Most of it is for the food industry,
although we also produce packaging material for other goods,too.
We have two factories,one here in Stalybridge and a second one just outside Bristol.
And Donaldson Wellpack Ltd,that's the other company,
markets our packaging systems and machines.
Most of them are for the British market,although we do export as well.
PRESENTER:And where are the UK headquarters 2?
STORY:Here in Stalybridge.
PRESENTER:I see.And how many employees does Donaldson Packaging have?
STORY:Almost 600.598 to be exact.
PRESENTER:Thank you very much for talking to us,Mr Story.
