Nadal wins first singles after seven months out

SANTIAGO, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- Former world No. 1 Rafael Nadal won his first singles Wednesday after a seven-month absence, beating Federico Delbonis of Argentina 6-3, 6-2 in the second round of the Vina Del Mar 1 ATP tournament.
In the quarterfinals he'll face either compatriot Albert Montanes or Portugal's Joao Sousa.
The Spaniard won his first doubles Tuesday with partner Argentina's Juan Monaco.
The 11-time Grand Slam champion, who was bothered by a lingering knee problem, had not played since June 28 when he was upset in the second round of Wimbeldon Open.
