Bahrain's "Bob Marley" dies

MANAMA, July 3 (Xinhua) -- Bahrain's most popular musician and performer Ali Bahar died on Sunday at the Salmaniya Medical Complex.
State-run Bahrain news Agency confirmed the death of the singer, with several of his fans posting condolence messages and clips 1 of his popular songs on social networking sites.
Hospital sources said the singer was on ventilator with severe lung infection and slipped in coma 2 on Sunday morning.
Known as the "Bob Marley of Gulf 3", Bahar recently released his new album and was part of Al Ekhwa (Brothers) band.
A singer, guitarist with strong influence from pop and reggae, the band holds the highest album selling record in Bahrain's music history.
The band also made history by performing in front of over 100, 000 fans in Oman, creating a record of playing in front of the largest audience by any Arabic band.(本文由在线英语听力室整理编辑)
