Kerry arrives in Cairo for talks with Morsi

CAIRO, March 2 (Xinhua) -- U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry arrived in Egypt Saturday on a two-day visit as part of his first trip aboard as Washington's top diplomat 1, Egypt's official news agency MENA reported.
Kerry, who planned to visit a number of Arab and European states, is scheduled to hold talks with Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi on Sunday on the bilateral 2 relations, Egypt's economic recession and the regional issues of common concern including the Syrian crisis and the Israeli-Palestinian issue.
He is also scheduled to meet with Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr, Defense 3 Minister Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, Arab League Secretary-General Nabil al-Arabi and representatives of some Egyptian political parties.
