Ethan watched his brother until the trees hid him. Then the boy waited. 伊桑一直看着哥哥，直到他隐没在树林当中。接下来，他开始等待。
How quiet everything seemed! But suddenly he heard first one shot 1 and then another. 四周似乎很安静！突然他听到了一声枪响，接下来又是一声。
"Those men have shot some poor animal, "thought Ethan." 这些人射杀了可怜的动物，伊桑想。

The boy wanted very much to find out what had happened, and he ran as fast as he could go after his brother. 伊桑非常想知道发生了什么，于是他跟在哥哥的后面全力地跑了下去。
