In this episode 1, we are eating our breakfast. 在这个故事中，我们在吃早餐。
I begin by walking "into my kitchen and" turning "on the coffeemaker." 故事开始，“我走进厨房，打开咖啡机。”
Notice these verbs, to walk into or to walk in, to turn on. 注意到“走进”和“打开”这两个动词。
Those two word verbs are very common in English. 在英语中，那些由两个字组成的动词很常见。
So, I don't just walk to my kitchen, "I walk into my kitchen and" I "turn on the coffeemaker." 因此，我不仅仅是走向厨房，而是“我走进厨房，打开咖啡机。”
The coffeemaker, "coffeemaker," (all one word) is the machine that, you can guess, makes the coffee; that's the coffeemaker. 咖啡机（coffeemaker），（是一个字）顾名思义，就是煮咖啡的机器；那就是咖啡机。
Usually, a coffeemaker has water on the top—place where you put the water—and then, it has a place for the actual coffee. 通常，咖啡机的顶部有水——顶部是装水的地方——然后呢，它还有装咖啡粉的地方。
Now, you take the coffee and you put it into a piece of paper or a piece of plastic called a filter 2. 现在，你拿着咖啡粉并把它放到纸或塑料滤纸里。
The filter, "filter," is something that allows the water to go through it, but doesn't allow the coffee to go through it. 滤纸（filter），是能过滤水而不会过滤咖啡粉的物品。
