Here are some cool tech tips to help you save time.
First of all, when you are on a website and the text is too small, you hold down the control key and hit the plus key. With each tap, you make the text larger. You can do this on every computer and every web browser 1. Just hit the minus key to make text smaller.
Also on the web, when you want to scroll 2 down, don’t use your mouse. Hit the space bar instead. Each time you hit the space bar, you scroll down one page. To scroll up hit the space bar while holding down the shift key.
When you are typing on your Android or iPhone you no longer need to switch to the punctuation 3 layout to get the period. Simply hit the space bar twice. It puts in the period, the space, and the capital for you.
Finally, Google is not just for looking up webpages. It is a dictionary too. Type the word ‘define’ after the word you want to know and the definition appears. How’s the weather in Seattle? Type in “Seattle weather” to get a full weather report. Need to know about a flight? Type in the airline name and flight number. It will give you all the information you need. These are just of a few of Google’s tricks.
