Well, the story says that "no one" at Lucy's work "dares to show up" or to go to work "in t-shirts and shorts." 这个故事说，露西的办公室里“没人敢穿T恤和短裤去上班”。
T-shirts, "t-shirts," are shirts that you wear that don't have a collar that are very informal. T恤（t-shirts）是没有领子的衬衫，很随意。
Shorts, "shorts," are like pants but they do not go to the bottom of your leg. They only go and cover the top of your leg, those would be shorts. 短裤（shorts），就像裤子一样，但不会延伸腿的底部。短裤只盖住腿的上部，这样的叫作短裤。
Lucy puts "on a skirt and a blouse and opens the top dresser drawer to get some pantyhose." 露西“穿上裙子和衬衫，打开梳妆台最上边的抽屉拿出连裤袜。”
A dresser, "dresser," is a place where you can keep clothing such as socks, underwear 1, shirts, perhaps some pants. 梳妆台（dresser）是可以放袜子，内衣，衬衫，或者某些裤子等衣服的地方。
You have to fold your clothes up - you have to put the clothes together and put them in the drawer. 你必须把衣服叠起来——你必须把衣服整理好，放在抽屉里。
