The weather satellite image shows there is a strong cold front surging 1 into western Australia, spreading strong winds, rain and a few scoreless storms through the west. Mild and fresh northerly winds are pushing into eastern WA and South Australia ahead of the front. And a weak trough is triggering 2 patchy rain through New South Wales and Victoria.
Taking a look around the states. In Queensland, showers for the central and southeast coasts, a few showers over the southeast interior 3.
In New South Wales, showers are increasing along the coast and ranges, mainly dry and partly cloudy west to the ranges.
Partly cloudy in Victoria, isolated 4 showers for most districts. Dry in the Mallee with mild northerlies.
A cool day for Tasmania, possible drizzle 5 in the north and east.
In South Australia, a dry and mild day statewide.
In WA, showers and storms over the southern half.
And in the Northern Territory, dry and mostly sunny throughout.
Taking a look at tomorrow. Sydney, the chance of a shower or two and a top of 19. Melbourne, a little late rain, 17 degrees. Brisbane, fine and 23. Perth, increasing showers at top of 20. Adelaide, light rain, clearing 17 degrees. Hobart, cloud increasing and 13. Canberra, partly cloudy, 16 degrees and Darwin, sunny and 32.
