Plain meaning without toppings is New York-area vernacular 1 while outside New York such a pizza would be referred to as cheese.
在纽约地区方言里，用plain(原味)一词不加馅料的披萨;纽约之外，说这种披萨则要用cheese(芝士)一词。
2. PIECE OR SLICE?

Speaking of slices, in New York you can say, "I'm getting a slice," and people will know what you're talking about. However, elsewhere "piece of pizza" is preferred, and if you say "slice," you'll need to qualify it with "of pizza."
说到是一片片的披萨(slices)，在纽约你可以说I'm getting a slice(我要片披萨)，大家就知道你什么意思了。但在其它地方，你要说piece of pizza(一片披萨)，你要是说slice(一片)的话，就要说清楚是“披萨”。
