Cooperation between China and Arab countries has seen remarkable developments in recent years, and especially so since Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit at the beginning of this year. China has intensified its political ties with Arab states, achieving a comprehensive strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia, and a five-year roadmap for China-Egypt relations.
China signed multiple economic deals with Arab countries to push the "Belt and Road" Initiative, covering areas like trade, energy, telecommunications and aviation.
China has also been increasing its support to Arab nations -- providing the Middle East countries with a 20-billion-US-dollar loan and setting up a 20-billion-US-dollar investment fund with the UAE and Qatar.
Cultural and educational exchanges have also been enhanced to promote better mutual understanding and to prevent extreme ideologies from forming.
