Most of the injured people are now receiving treatment at hospitals in two nearby cities. A total of 35 injured were sent to the PLA 101 Hospital in Wuxi City after the accident.
One was declared dead after an emergency operation. 23 people, seven of whom are in a serious condition, are still in hospital receiving treatment for their injuries. 11 others have been discharged.
In Changzhou City, the Number 1 People's Hospital received a total of 12 people. One was confirmed dead upon arrival, and four others are still receiving treatment. Seven people with minor injuries left the hospital after physical examinations.
