Chinese President Xi has met with his visiting Serbian counterpart Tomislav Nikolic in Beijing. A welcoming ceremony was held at the Great Hall of the People on Thursday afternoon.

During their meeting, President Xi said that China is willing to deepen cooperation with Serbia in various sectors, including agriculture, bio-chemical and renewable energy. Nikolic said that Serbia will uphold the"One China" principle, and will work on a mutually-beneficial relationship between China and central and eastern European countries.
The Serbian president started his five-day visit on Tuesday.
