Golden 1 Week is such 2 a lovely time to be in Japan. The weather is great and everyone is relaxed 3. There’s a real 4 holiday feeling 5 all over the country. It’s one of my favorite 6 times of the year. The only down side 7 is that the roads are full of traffic 8. You can spend hours stuck 9 in traffic jams. So I usually stay at home and do things near my house. I love going 10 on picnics in local 11 parks. I’m English so I find it really interesting to see how Japanese 12 people have picnics. Very different from picnics in England. Many people have the whole 13 week off 14 work to celebrate 15 the different holidays. The Emperor’s birthday and Constitution 16 Day are important 17 and so is Greenery Day, but I like Children’s Day. This is when Japanese parents do special things for their kids 18.
