　　To his great surprise, he found himself in a huge net, amid a crowd of fish of all kinds and sizes, who were fighting and struggling desperately 1 to free themselves.

　　使他惊奇万分的是，他发现自己竟然在一个大鱼网里，夹在一大堆鱼中间。这些鱼各种各样、有大有小，正拼了命的挣扎逃生。
　　At the same time, he saw a Fisherman come out of the cave, a Fisherman so ugly that Pinocchio thought he was a sea monster.
　　正在这时候，他看见山洞里走出一个渔夫，他的样子太难看了以至于皮诺乔认为他是个海怪。
　　In place of hair, his head was covered by a thick bush of green grass.
　　他本该长着头发的脑袋上覆盖着一大蓬绿草。
　　Green was the skin of his body, green were his eyes, green was the long, long beard that reached down to his feet.
　　他身上的皮肤是绿的，眼睛是绿的，直垂到脚上的胡子也是绿的。

　　When the Fisherman pulled the net out of the sea, he cried out joyfully 3: "Blessed Providence 4! Once more I'll have a fine meal of fish!"
　　当渔夫把鱼网打海里拉出来时，他兴高采烈地叫道：“老天爷保佑！今天我又可以大吃一顿鲜鱼了！”
　　"Thank Heaven, I'm not a fish!" said Pinocchio to himself, trying with these words to find a little courage.
　　“感谢上帝，我不是鱼！”皮诺乔心里说，试着鼓起了一点勇气。
　　The Fisherman took the net and the fish to the cave, a dark, gloomy, smoky place.
　　渔夫网鱼都拿到山洞里，山洞里很黑，阴暗又满是烟雾。
　　In the middle of it, a pan full of oil sizzled over a smoky fire, sending out a repelling 5 odor of tallow that took away one's breath.
　　山洞当中有一只大油锅在烟火上嘶嘶作响，发出一股叫人没法呼吸的牛脂气味。
　　"Now, let's see what kind of fish we have caught today," said the Green Fisherman.
　　“现在让我来看看今天捉到了什么鱼！”绿莹莹的渔夫说着。
　　He put a hand as big as a spade into the net and pulled out a handful of mullets.
　　他把和铲子一般的大手伸进鱼网，抓出一把鲻鱼。
　　"Fine mullets, these!" he said, after looking at them and smelling them with pleasure.
　　“这些鲻鱼不错！”他说道，看着它们，很满意地闻了闻。
　　After that, he threw them into a large, empty tub. Many times he repeated this performance.
　　之后，他把它们扔进一个空的大桶里。接着他又照样多次重复了这个动作。
　　As he pulled each fish out of the net, his mouth watered with the thought of the good dinner coming, and he said: "Fine fish, these bass 6!"
　　在他每次把鱼捞出来时，嘴里似乎要为即将到来的大餐流口水，说着：“这些鲈鱼好极了！”
　　"Very tasty, these whitefish!" "Delicious flounders, these!" "What splendid crabs 7!"

　　As you can well imagine, the bass, the flounders, the whitefish, and even the little anchovies all went together into the tub to keep the mullets company.
　　诸位可以想象，这些鲈鱼、比目鱼、白鲑鱼，甚至是小凤尾鱼全都一起扔在了桶里，和鲻鱼在一起。
　　The last to come out of the net was Pinocchio.
　　最后—个从网里出来的是皮诺乔。
