Lucy says that when she gets up, the first thing she does is to put on her robe 1. 露西说她每天起床第一件事就是穿上睡袍。
To put on her robe, "robe." A robe, which is sometimes called a bathrobe, is a large piece of clothing that you wear. 穿上睡袍（robe），有时候也叫浴袍，是一大件衣服。
It covers the top of your body, and usually the bottom of your body, up to maybe your knees. 从头到屁股，可能还会到膝盖，这些身体部位睡袍全部覆盖。
And, it is something that you wear often after a bath so that you don't get cold. 你可以洗完澡穿上，以免感冒。
It's something you wear so that you can go into the bathroom and you don't need to put your clothes on. 你可以穿着睡袍去浴室，也不用穿其他衣服。
Usually this is something you use in the morning after you shower or when you get up to go into your bathroom so you are not cold. 通常这是早上洗完澡或者起床去卫生间穿的，穿上这个才不会冷。
Lucy puts on her robe because it is "always so cold in" her "apartment in the mornings." 露西经常穿睡袍，因为“公寓里早上”“都很冷”。
So, cold here means 2 very cold. It's always very cold - it's always so cold in her apartment, "no matter what time of year it is" - January, June, September - it's always cold. 所以冷在这里的意思是非常冷。她公寓里总是很冷，“一年到头”——1月、6月、9月，都非常冷。
"Then," she says, she usually makes her bed. “然后，”她会收拾床铺。
To make your bed means to put the sheets and the blankets - the comforter - back on the bed so that it looks nice - so that it doesn't look messy 3, "messy." 收拾床铺意思是把床上的床单和毯状物——厚被子恢复原状，这样看起来才好看，才不会显得乱（messy）。

When you go to a hotel the maid 4 makes your bed, "maid." The maid is the person that comes in and cleans your room and makes your bed. 去宾馆会有女仆（maid）收拾床铺。女仆是指进来帮你打扫房间收拾床铺的人。
My mother would say, when I was young, "I'm not your maid. You have to make your own bed." 我小时候，妈妈经常说“我可不是你的女仆，你要自己收拾床铺。”
Actually, I think it would be a good idea for me to get a maid now, so I don't have to worry about making my bed. 不过，现在我觉得我应该有一个女仆，这样我就不会为收拾床铺的事情烦心。
