　　你可能要问，为什么说话时要含糊其词？我们学英语不是要准确表达出自己的想法吗？

　　其实，模糊语是英语口语中的重要组成部分。你有没有遇到过这种情况：想不起事情发生的具体的时间，某人说过什么话或者这个人长什么样？
　　这些情况下，模糊语就起重要作用了，甚至可以“挽救”你！你要让别人听起来你知道你谈论的事情，而当有人寻求建议时，你也可以不用伤害他们的情感。

　　kind of or sort of:
　　Your accent sounds kind of British.
　　你的口音有些像英国人。
　　I’m sort of unemployed 1 right now.
　　我现在失业了。
　　That guy was kind of rude.
　　那个家伙有些粗鲁。
　　如果有人问你，Hey , do you like Funk music?
　　你可以回答: kind of.

　　ish结尾的词
　　描述人们的特征，颜色和时间时，使用ish后缀
　　如果我想描述一个红头发的朋友，但不完全是红色的，我可以说 He has reddish hair.
　　同理，高矮或者肥胖可以用tallish或者fattish。
　　如果你想描述一个你记不起具体样子的人，可以说
　　yeah, I remember that guy, he’s kind of shortish/tallish and has lightish/darkish hair.
　　看到了吧，这种描述可以指任何一个人。
　　About / Or So
　　描述数字和时间用about,估计和大约用or so.
　　比如： I will get there at about 2.30.
　　大约2点半到。
　　There will be about 100 people at the next happy hour.
　　到时候可能会有100人左右。
　　I have about 20 cousins.
　　我有20来个表兄弟。
　　He’s about 2 metres tall.
　　他能有2米高。
　　I’m going to Australia for 3 weeks or so.
　　我这次会去澳大利亚3个星期左右。
　　I’ve been in line for 2 hours or so.
　　我排队排了2个小时左右。

　　我们说blah blah blah，是避免去说无聊的故事内容或模仿你觉得烦人的人。
　　其他的表达
　　It’s difficult to say, but I think I’ll get there at around 10 p.m.
　　很难讲，但是我觉得应该会在晚上10点左右到达吧。
　　I’m not too sure, but I guess he’s British by his accent.
　　我不确定，但是通过口音我猜他是英国人。
