By the age of 27, Nicole had taken various martial 2 arts classes in her life but was never very good at any of them. She would study a style for a year or so, then become frustrated 3 with her lack of progress. She always saw others as being better than her.
妮可二十七年来一直在上各种武术课程，可是没有特别擅长哪一项，她可能花一年研究一种，然后就因为没有进展而变得沮丧，她总是觉得别人比她更厉害。
When she turned 27, she began boxing and fell in love with it. She practiced only once a week at first, and like other sports, she had been involved in was feeling her progress was too slow.
到她二十七岁时，她开始练拳击并喜欢上这项运动，她一开始一星期只练习一次，而且就和她曾经投入的其他运动一样，她觉得进展太过缓慢。
One day, another girl came to the class to try it out. She saw Nicole fight and asked the teacher if he could teach her how to fight like Nicole.
一天，有个女孩来班上试打，她看到妮可打拳击，便问老师他是否能教她打得和妮可一好。
Nicole heard this and suddenly realized that she was getting better but because she was comparing herself to the much bigger and stronger guys, she felt weak and not capable 4. Nicole began to train at home and started to see amazing results.
妮可听到这段对话，才突然明白自己其实有在进步，只是因为她老是和比她强壮高大的人比，所以才觉得自己很弱且办不到。妮可开始在家训练，并开始有了惊人的成果！
It took time but she found something she was good at. Now, Nicole teaches girls and women alike 5 how to box.
