M: When an item sells, the supplier can restock it.
F: What do you mean?

M: That scanned information is sent to our manufacturer in Asia.
F: The minute my purchase is scanned?
M: Yes, instantaneously .The supplier receives the scanned information, he will produce a pair of washed denin Jeans size 32 with button fly and overnights (动词)them to the store.

F: The Jeans are replaced on the shelf.
M: ready for the next customer.
Q: what happens when a purchased Jeans is scanned? —Information is sent to factory.

F: Bar code gives you a lot of marketing 3 information.
M: It keeps us on top of fashion trends
F: Bar codes give us what we call real-time information.
E.g. Inventory is what we call back office stuff. (内勤工作)。
M: Why real-time?
F: Bar codes enable us to track events as they happen.
M: Like objects being sold.
F: And person buying.
M: You mean if they pay by credit card, we also have a lot of demographic information about them?
F: Age, sex, monthly purchases, you have them all real-time.
