　　Skating 滑冰

　　Over the ice so smooth and bright, 越过亮闪闪的冰面，
　　How fast we skim along! 我们滑得飞快；
　　This is one of the merriest sports 这世界上最开心的运动
　　That to hardy 1 boys belong. 是小小男子汉的最爱,
　　Hurrah 2! hurrah! for the ice and snow; 好啊，来吧！拥抱灿烂的冰雪！
　　We buckle 3 our skates, and away we go! 冰刀扣好，享受前进的喜悦！
　　The ice is strong as strong can be, 冰层是要多硬有多硬，
　　And what have we to fear? 我们有什么好怕？
　　It looks like a solid crystal lake, 湖水像凝成了一大块水晶，
　　So beautifully clear. 透明得那么无瑕
　　Hurrah! hurrah! though winter it is, 好啊，来吧！就算这是严冬，
　　There’s nothing in summer so fine as this. 可夏天的乐趣，哪里有这般生动！
　　Up again quickly, my gallant 4 friend, 快爬起来，我勇敢的朋友，
　　And don’t lie groaning 5 there; 别躺在地下叫唤！
　　You had better be moving as fast as you can, 你要是不拿出顶尖的速度，
　　Or you’ll feel the biting air. 刺骨的寒冷就来陪伴。
　　Hurrah! hurrah! let it blow—let it blow! 好啊，来吧！同朔风比上一比，
　　Our limbs are active and strong, you know. 那时候你才清楚，我们腿脚的活力
　　Come hither, come hither, both young and old, 快到这里来吧，不论年轻年老，
　　Nor sit all day by the fire! 别整天坐在火炉旁！
　　Come, stir about! you will soon feel warm, 快，动起来，很快就会暖和，
　　If that is your heart’s desire. 这是你心底的期望！
　　Hurrah! hurrah! who would not be here 好啊，来吧！谁会冷漠无情，
　　On the lake of ice so strong and clear ? 辜负这坚实又透明的湖冰？
　　This is the sport for men and boys; 这是一场男子汉的比赛，
　　The girls in the house may stay: 姑娘们可以待在屋里；
　　But better for them it would be, I’m sure, 但我相信，她们还不如
　　In the clear, cold air to play. 也到清冷的空气中嬉戏
　　Hurrah! hurrah! there is nothing we know 好啊，来吧！想让美丽披上光彩，
　　Which can give to beauty a lovelier glow. 我们知道，什么也没它厉害！
　　Come all, come all! come great and small! 大家都来吧，不论大人小孩！
　　This pleasure can never grow tame; 这样的欢愉，永远别想生厌；
　　At morning and evening, and every hour, 白天与夜晚，时时与刻刻，
　　Year after year, ’tis the same. 年复一年，热情没有改变。
　　Hurrah! hurrah! may it ever be so! 好啊，来吧！未来也这样多好！
　　Then we shall never grow old, you know. 那时候你就清楚，我们将永不会变老。
