 That search is underway again for a 15-year-old boy who’s gone missing during a lifesaving competition on the Gold Coast. The teenage disappeared while competing in a board event late yesterday. Two years ago, 19-year-old Saxon Bird drowned at the same beach while competing in an Iron Man competition. 


 
The former AFL player Ben Cousins is facing drug charges in Perth. Cousins was arrested at Esperance Airport in Western Australia on Tuesday and charged with possessing methamphetamine with intent to sell or supply. He’ll face court in Perth on Monday. 
 
The Treasurer 1 Wayne Swan is foreshadowing a savage 2 budget. He says the government will have to cut spending even further to bring the budget back into surplus next financial year. A siege in the Melbourne bayside suburb of Seaford has ended with a man being taken to hospital. The man how was wanted by police entered a factory at around three o’clock yesterday afternoon and refused to come out. When police eventually enter the factory, they found him semi-conscious. 
 
The gold cape 4 worn by Elizabeth Taylor in the 1963 film Cleopatra is about to go under the hammer in Dallas, Texas. The cape is expected to fetch around $20,000 at the auction 5. The academy award winning actress died in Los Angeles a year ago, aged 6 79.
