拟声词的常见三种翻译处理方法:


一、译为汉语对应的拟声词,有的译为独词句,有的译为动词或名词的辅助成分。
1.Crack! The stick broke in two.
喀嚓!棒子断为两截。

2.Only the venliator in the cellar window kept up a cealess rattle.
只有地下室窗户上的鼓风机发出无休无止的呼呼声。

3.Round the corner of Croscent Bay, between the pile-up masses of broken rock, a flock of sheep came pattering.

二、有时可以将英文的拟声词译为汉语中较为抽象的“..........的叫,...........声”,有的则直叙其动作。

三、为增加效果,即使英文未出现拟声词,翻译时添加拟声词。
