Hi there, I'm Ore with the BBC World News for Children.

Coming up:

Japan's mission to super hot planet.

A new survey says kids care more about computers than animals.

And Inter 1 Milan face Bayern Munich in the Champion's League final.

First up, after day's of delays because of bad weather - Japan's mission to Venus has launched......

CLIP: "Main engine started, main engine ignition...and lift off!"

The rocket is carrying a special unmanned space vehicle. Its job is to study the weather in Venus and it will spend four years circling the planet and gathering 2 info. It won't be landing on the planet though - space expert John Zarneki says its way too hot for that...

CLIP: ""Venus is an absolutely ghastly place. It's horribly hot. The average surface temperature is nearly five-hundred degrees centigrade, the surface pressure is ninety times greater than it is here so most of the spacecraft that have been sent there, at least to the surface, end up getting squashed."

There's loads of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere there and scientists reckon by looking at Venus they can get a better idea of how climate change might affect our planet in the future.

Next to India where a powerful cyclone 3 has ripped through Andhra Pradesh in the south of the country - killing 4 at least 23 people. Heavy rains and strong winds have led to landslides 5 and toppled power lines. More than 50,000 people have been moved from their homes. The storm is now weakening and is reported to be moving east to the neighbouring state of Orissa, but officials say it can still cause more damage.

Now we're always being told about animals that are near extinction 6 - tomorrow's biodiversity day and countries all over the world will be focussing on the importance of protecting different species - but do you care? A new survey says that protecting animals that are in danger is not a big priority for young people - well we've been asking pupils at Mayfield Highschool in London what they think about the survey's results. This is what Fardus, Sophie and Naila had to say....

CLIP: "You can't blame young people for not caring because the generation that's already here, they're teaching us not to care." "To be honest, I don’t think young children are really aware of it. They're more attached to like Playstation games and stuff like that." "If all the animals are extinct the future generation, which is the children, they won't have anything left."

Next up - it's a very exiting weekend for footy fans - tomorrow Bayern Munich will face Inter Milan in the Champions League final. Both clubs are on the verge 7 of historic trebles having already wrapped up their domestic league and cup titles.
