  Exercise 2.2.      A.     Write down the numbers you hear in the following sentences:

A        i.      Wales is approximately   170 miles long and 60 miles wide;  8000 square miles in total.




ii.      Over 2.9 million people live in Wales;  they comprise almost 5%  of the total population of Britain.
