1、Rough 粗糙
例句：
The skin on my hands is rough.
我手上的皮肤好粗糙。
2、Rough 大概的，不确切的，不具体的
A rough idea. 大概的想法
A rough number 大概的数字
例句：
It is just a rough idea.
这只是一个大概的想法。
3、Rough 困难的，…很困难/糟糕
例句：
I had a rough day.
我这一天过得好困难/真糟糕。
当别人说了一件特别糟糕/特别不好的事，我们就可以说：
That's rough.
意思就是：真糟糕呀，好惨啊。可以用它表示同情。
这里它也相当于：
That's hard. / That's bad.
举个栗子：
A: She left him, took the kids and the house.
她离开了他，把孩子和房子都带走了。
B: That's rough. The poor guy has nothing left.
真的是好糟糕啊，这个男的什么都没有了。
再看一个栗子：
