The passengers and crew onboard a ship stuck in Antarctic ice since Christmas hope to be freed later today. The first of three ice-breaking ships is expected to reach it this afternoon. The ship had been retracing 6 Sir Douglas Mawson's Antartic expedition and doing scientific research.
