　　whoa是西部牛仔经常说的话吗？没错，Cowboys say "whoa" when they want their horses to slow down. 当牛仔说whoa后，他们的马就会慢下来。所以whoa的第一个意思就是：a command to stop 嘿，慢点。
　　例句：Whoa, don't put so much detergent 1 into the washing machine! 慢点，别往洗衣机里倒太多的洗衣粉！
　　Whoa还有另一层意思：an expression of surprise 表示惊奇。
　　例句：Whoa! You're scaring me. 啊！你吓到我了。

　　Gee 可以使你说的话带有遗憾、惊奇的色彩。
　　"Gee..." is an interjection that shows surprise, wonder, or uncertainty 3. Sometimes when people say "Gee..." (in a long, drawn 4 out fashion) they are just pretending that they are surprised. Gee放在句子里，可以表示惊奇或是怀疑。可要是拖长了调，说geeeeee，就表示说话的人在假装惊奇。
　　例句：His car broke down? Geeeeee... that's too bad! I was really looking forward to Professor Johnson's class! 约翰逊教授的车坏了吗？（假惊奇）啊，太糟糕了，我是多么想听他的课啊！

　　When someone says something that you think is very obvious, or asks you a stupid question, you can say "duh". 直白来说，duh就是“废话”的意思。
　　例句：Duh! The lights are on and there are people inside. 废话！灯开着，屋里当然有人了。
　　4 Oh, Boy
　　"Oh, Boy!" is a common American expression that really has nothing to do with boys at all. 不必问美国人为什么不说 "Oh, girl" 或者别的，因为这么用就是一种习惯，大家都不知道原因。
　　Oh boy可表示高兴和兴奋的情绪。
　　例句：Oh, Boy! Look at that. There is someone selling cotton candy. I love cotton candy. 太好了！看那里。有人在卖棉花糖。我喜欢吃棉花糖。
　　Oh boy既可以指让人高兴的事，也可以指you are concerned or dismayed about something 让人担心的事，这完全取决于说话的语气。
　　例句：A: Guess what? We first got a flat tire, and now my cell phone is dead. 你猜怎么了? 先是我们的车胎爆了，而后我的手机又没电了。B: Oh, boy! 唉!

　　"Oh well" is use to show mild regret. We also use it to tease people or pretend that you are upset. Oh well就是表示有点遗憾，或者是以玩笑的口吻假装*考试~大不安的情绪。
　　例句：Did you hear, the football team won't make the playoffs this year. Oh well, that's too bad. 听说了吗，足球队今年不能参加决赛。唉，有点糟糕。
　　例句：You're not going to give me any chips? (teasing) Oh well, I guess I won't be able to give you a ride home. 你不给我薯片？（开玩笑）唉，那我只好不让你坐我的车回家了。
