Overseas now to an airline tragedy in Pakistan, emergency workers are searching the crash site where a passenger jet there went down when it flew through a lightening storm. Tonight, the Pakistani government says all 127 people on board perished. ABC Muhammad Lila is at the scene for us. Muhammad.
Diane. I抦 standing 1 right now in the middle of where some of these debris 2 landed. This twisted massive metal right here is actually metal that was part of the plane. It was taking off from Karachi, headed to Islamabad, Pakistan抯 capital city, when it got caught in the lightening storm. This airline was operated by a domestic carrier here in Pakistan. Officials tell us they don抰 believe there were any foreigners on board. And Pakistani authorities also insist that terrorism had no role in bringing this plane down. They say that's simply ,this was a very serious,but weather-related tragedy. Diane.
