王若琳（Joanna）从小在美国长大，父亲为台湾知名音乐制作人王治平，因为父亲的关系，Joanna从小就听遍各种语言、各种乐风、各种年代的好音 乐，这启发了她对音乐和创作的兴趣。她的首张唱片《Start From Here》中英文双CD 1于2008年1月发行后，立即令整个华语乐坛为之惊艳，被誉为华人世界的诺拉?琼斯、小野丽莎，这张以翻唱西洋老歌为主的唱片也迅 速成为经常在咖啡馆播放的背景音乐。
王若琳独特的嗓音，被许多传媒封为“最舒服的声音”，更有媒体称Joanna为“慵懒美声小天后”。而王若琳稳健的台风和话不多的表演风格也令她独树一 格。2009年，唱作人 Joanna 再次翻唱西洋老歌并自己创作单曲，以复古又带点年轻可爱的新造型形象，为乐迷带来《Joanna&王若琳》。这张双CD中的一张收录了王若琳创作 的10首歌，另外一张则收录了她翻唱的老歌。
