China's first permanent magnetic monorail train has successfully completed a test run in the city of Qingdao, in Shandong Province.
The high-tech urban transportation system features strong climbing capacity, a small turning radius, energy efficiency and environmental friendly operation. It is also cheaper to build than a subway.
Qingdao's magnetic monorail is designed to travel at 80 kilometers per hour and to have a service-life of 30 years. At present, over 50 magnetic monorail systems are being used around the world.
